Welcome to the Operations Department

The Operations Department, formerly known as Buildings and Grounds, is responsible for all district properties, which includes all structures and vacant land.  All maintenance, grounds and custodial functions are overseen by the Operations Department.  Transportation also falls under the Operations Department.  The primary function of the Operations Department is to provide a safe and healthy environment for all students, staff, and the general public that use our buildings.  We maintain just under 1,000,000 square feet of building space that encompasses almost 300 acres of property. This includes nine educational buildings, one childcare facility, and three support buildings within the District boundaries of about 85 square miles. We are responsible for structures dating back to 1911 to our newest buildings constructed  in 2002 and 2003.
