Welcome to Our School

Romeo High School is a Ford Next Generation Learning Campus.  Ford NGL offers structures and systems for schools to  deliver a wide range of academic, athletic and collaborative resources.  When combined with core classes in English, math, science and social studies, those resources, bolstered by a partnership with Macomb County Planning and Economic Development, work to instill transferable career success skills.  The high school is home to four academies. The 9th Grade Academy, which prepares students to select one of three college and career academies:  Health, Human and Public Service; Business, Entrepreneurship and Innovation; and Design, Engineering and Manufacturing. These small learning communities each have their own principal, counselor and support staff.

Romeo High School is the first designated Ford Next Generation Learning community in Michigan. Experiential learning opportunities are embedded in all academies and across all academic disciplines and years.  Real-world career and work experiences add context to the curriculum for all students, and is unique to The Academies at Romeo High School.

Romeo High School operates on a block schedule.  This integral part of our structure incorporates a career pathway class each year, allows students flexibility in scheduling, gives teachers built in time to discuss student academics, concerns, successes and futures, and offers a wide range of elective or “global” class offerings, including Advanced Placement classes, across all academies.  There is something for everyone at Romeo High School.
