The Byting Bulldogs Prepare for Worlds
By: Lincoln '25 & Michael '23
The Byting Bulldogs continue to achieve major milestones year after year. On April 15-16th, the Bulldogs head to Texas to compete at the world competition. The team recently finished inside the top ten at the state competition, breaking records and staying determined to win worlds. The team achievements would not be possible without the guidance from the robotics team coach, Mr. Savage. Savage expresses his excitement about what his team plans to achieve at the 2023 world competitions.
“I didn’t think we would be this successful with the bot for this year,” Savage said.
The team has put in a lot of work all season to improve their skills leading up to the world competition. The Byting Bulldogs practice six days a week for three hours, always striving for improvement. Mr. Savage enjoys watching the students succeed at something they are passionate about, and see the hours of work transpire in competition. Although Savage's process and outlook stays consistent throughout the years, the team strives for improvement each season.
“There is still a lot to learn about robotics and lots to still teach,” Savage said.
Savage and the team enjoy the new challenge and love to incorporate interesting obstacles for the upcoming seasons.
RHS wishes the best of luck to the robotics team on their world competition in Texas.
