Formerly known as PTOC, the Bulldog Parent Committee (BPC) continues the same district-wide mission with a new name that better reflects who we are and what we do.

BPC brings together parent leaders from across Romeo Community Schools with one shared goal: supporting our students, schools, staff, and community.

Our Mission:

As the Bulldog Parent Committee, we believe we can accomplish more when our schools communicate and work together.

BPC brings principal appointed representatives from across Romeo Community Schools together, from our youngest bulldogs in early childhood programs to our graduating high school seniors. With support from the Superintendent, our committee meets regularly to share ideas, celebrate successes, strengthen communication, and find new ways to collaborate across the district.

Rather than each school working independently, BPC creates an opportunity for appointed parent leaders to connect, share resources, and work together to make an even greater impact throughout the Romeo community.

Our goal is simple: Stronger connections between our schools, families, staff, and community.

Bringing Our Community Together

BPC is proud to create and support events that bring Romeo students, families, staff, and community members together. These events give families from across the district a chance to connect, have fun, and celebrate what makes our Bulldog community so special. 

Harlem Wizards vs. Romeo Bulldogs

One of our favorite district-wide events! The world-famous Harlem Wizards take the court against Romeo Bulldog staff,  a team made up of teachers and staff from throughout our district.

Students get the chance to cheer on their own teachers, principals, and other familiar faces as they take on the Wizards in a night filled with trick shots, basketball, comedy, music, and plenty of Bulldog spirit.

More than just a basketball game, this event brings families from every school together for a fun night as one Romeo community. All proceeds from this amazing event benefit BPC projects and initiatives.

Romeo Takes Over Bavarian Blast

One of our newest BPC events, launched in 2026! During one of the district’s Professional Development days, we invite Romeo Community Schools families to take over Bavarian Blast in Frankenmuth for some midweek fun.

Families can make a mini getaway out of it with rooms available Tuesday night, followed by a full day of waterpark fun on Wednesday.

It’s a great opportunity for Bulldog families from across the district to spend time together, make memories, and enjoy a day off from school as one big Romeo community.

Ladies Night Out

Created especially for the ladies of the Romeo community, Ladies Night Out is a chance to step away from the busy schedules and everyday responsibilities and enjoy a night out with friends!

This adult-only event brings women from throughout our community together for an evening of food, music, dancing, raffles, shopping, and plenty of fun.

It’s become a special night to catch up with old friends, make new ones, support local businesses, and simply enjoy a well-deserved night out together.

Supporting Our Schools 

One of the things we are most proud of is how BPC has grown over the years. Thanks to the success of our fundraising efforts, we were able to shift from asking our individual schools for contributions to giving back to them instead.

Today, BPC is proud to support students, staff, programs, and schools throughout Romeo Community Schools, from our youngest Bulldogs through our graduating seniors.

Staff Appreciation

BPC is proud to host special appreciation luncheons celebrating the incredible paraprofessionals and transportation teams who support our students every day.

Kindergarten Lawn Signs

There’s nothing quite like becoming a Bulldog for the first time! Each year, BPC helps welcome our incoming kindergarten students with special Romeo Bulldog lawn signs to display proudly at home.

It’s a fun way to celebrate this exciting milestone, build Bulldog pride, and make our newest students feel like part of the Romeo community before they even walk through the school doors on their first day.

5th Grade Mixer

Before our 5th graders become middle schoolers, BPC helps bring students from across the district together for a special 5th Grade Mixer!

Students from each of Romeo’s elementary schools have the opportunity to meet and connect with their future classmates in a fun, relaxed environment before they all come together at Romeo Middle School.

It’s a great way to build new friendships, ease some of those middle school nerves, and remind our students that while they may come from different elementary schools, they’re all Bulldogs!

Additional School & Program Support

BPC provides additional funding to support schools throughout the district. 

Budget & Financial Information 

Each year, the Bulldog Parent Committee (BPC) establishes a budget to help guide fundraising efforts, events, district-wide programs, and other initiatives that support Romeo Community Schools and its students throughout the school year. Thanks to the success of our fundraising efforts, we were able to shift from asking our individual schools for contributions to giving back to them instead.

It is important to understand that funds raised through BPC are not tax dollars and are not funded by the school district. These funds are generated through the voluntary participation and support of individuals, families, businesses, and members of our community and surrounding areas who choose to participate in BPC fundraisers, events, programs, and other activities.

Our goal is to maintain transparency and responsible stewardship of the funds our community helps raise while using those resources to positively impact students, families, schools, and programs across the district.

By working together, sharing ideas, supporting our schools, and bringing families together, we can continue building an even stronger Romeo community.
