12/2/21 District Update

Please read this important update from the Superintendent

December 2, 2021

Good Morning RCS Staff, Parents, and Families,

We have a very concerning situation that developed yesterday evening that has impacted several school districts.  Some screenshots of a few posts have been circulating on social media referring to potential threats against other schools.  Many of our students viewed these or other communications about them.  We appreciate everyone who has reached out to share this with Mr. Osebold and myself.  We encourage you to continue to share any concerning information.

All of this information has been reported to law enforcement by our district and many others.  Additionally, I have been in communication with several other Superintendents in our county.  Unfortunately, some districts have had to make the difficult decision to close school today.

At this time we have no credible threat against Romeo High School or any other buildings in our district.  We will continue to monitor the situation closely.  Romeo Community Schools are open today.

We understand that some parents may choose to keep their children home today.  Please inform your child’s school.

Sincerely,

Dr. Todd R. Robinson, Superintendent
